What makes for the perfect basement?

When everyone has their space.

In this mixed-use Thornton basement, we were able to transform the downstairs from a low-lit, single use room into a set of spaces the whole family can use.

Like many other families in North Denver, both parents work from home - requiring two offices with enough distance between them for sound barrier. Now, the basement has a play area for the youngest, a living space and bathroom for the teenage son, and a hosting space with a wet bar and plenty of seating for a movie night…or the big game.

Our clients have told us that they couldn’t be happier and have received many compliments whenever they host guests. Mission accomplished!

We transformed an already-finished basement in this Thornton family’s home by adding an extra office, building a walk-in shower and bathroom, creating a custom-built bar, and redesigning the family’s game day and movie night space.

  • Yes! And, fun fact, before we moved to a little east to Brighton, we used to be based out of Thornton.

    In addition to the project listed above, we have worked on a number of other basements, including an in-law suite kitchen in the King Ranch neighborhood.

  • Absolutely. The vast majority of our clients are families with young kiddos or grandkids, and we go out of our way to ensure your family’s safety.

    We take a day to protect the carpet, walkways, flooring, and anything not to be demoed before anything else.

  • Thornton still remains the heart of North Denver, and the CCR team has strong roots in Thornton. In addition to the new commuter lines that continue to be built, Thornton is almost perfectly located between the City, the mountains, and the prairie.

    Timeline varies job to job, but our CCR System streamlines the construction process for you to choose your material and ensure you are happy with the scope of work before any construction begins.

    Often, we can begin a project within 2 weeks of whenever a client accepts and signs their invoice and confirms their material.

  • Yes! For one, Colorado is known for its unique sediment - so window wells feature an additional challenge to ensure their sustainability.

Our clients needed a space to host and spend time as a family and a comfortable suite for in-laws visiting from abroad. We built both. The wet bar has its own dishwasher, sink, and refrigerator. The guest suite has a spacious bedroom, full bathroom, plenty of closet storage, and extra noise-proofing in case of rowdy grandkids.

Our clients (another family) welcomed us back into their home to bring the southwestern vibe of their main floor to the basement. In addition to a mini sink and wine fridge, we brought in one of our master subcontractors for custom woodcraft. He built a beautiful new bar, custom wine rack, and countertop. Now, hosting and family night are a blast.
